**ATOAC Annual Meeting Update June 01, 2020**

The ATOAC is closely monitoring the status of the NATA Annual Meeting and the impact the COVID-19 pandemic is having nationally. At this point plans are being made for a virtual annual ATOAC meeting to occur. Stay tuned for more information as the situation evolves.

 

**ATOAC Annual Meeting Update**

The ATOAC is closely monitoring the status of the NATA Annual Meeting and the impact the COVID-19 pandemic is having nationally.  At this point the ATOAC Annual Meeting is still scheduled to occur on June 17th in Atlanta.  However, a final decision regarding the status of this meeting will be made by the executive committee by May 1st.  Plans are being made for a virtual ATOAC meeting to occur should we be unable to meet in person this year.  Stay tuned for more information as the situation evolves.

• Please mark your calendars for this year’s annual meeting on Wednesday, June 17th from 11:30-4:00 at Emory Clinic at Executive Park in Atlanta, GA.  
• Highlights of this year’s event will include an update from last year’s harvest activity to build a common core of research measures within ATOAC and expert presentations and discussions on implementation and dissemination of OA prevention strategies – “We have evidence, now how do we get people to apply it in an effective manner?”

  • Submit a research abstract – details available here!  The planning committee welcomes all OA related research areas, but is particularly interested in research related to areas of the body other than the knee, or research investigating implementation and dissemination of OA prevention programs, including both primary and secondary strategies.
